My symptoms of Tourette Syndrome were at their worst during the third and fourth grades of primary school. At that time, I experienced frequent involuntary movements and vocal tics every day, which greatly affected both my daily life and my studies.

The symptoms became so severe that I often needed to take sick leave from school. Concentrating in class became difficult, and the constant twitching and noises caused considerable stress and frustration.

I initially sought treatment through Western medicine. Although the medications helped control some of the symptoms, there were still many occasions when the tics remained quite severe and continued to interfere with my daily activities.
