Dr. Wen Invited to Deliver Health Lecture for Taipei Police

As Taiwan’s capital and a major metropolitan center, Taipei hosts a high frequency of public assemblies and demonstrations. The Taipei City Police Department handles one of the highest volumes of crowd-control and police deployment duties in the country. The demanding nature of police work, combined with its physical challenges and inherent risks, places considerable strain on officers.

Out of concern for the health and well-being of police personnel, Taipei City Police Department Commissioner Chen Chia-chang invited renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine physician Dr. Wen Tsung-Kai, Director of the Wen Tsung-Kai Chinese Medicine Clinic, to deliver a special lecture and conduct interactive health consultations at the Police Department briefing room at 10:00 a.m. on the 1st.

Commissioner Chen attended the event together with the department’s three deputy commissioners, chief secretary, chief inspector, first-level unit supervisors, officers who had previously sustained serious injuries in the line of duty and remained on active duty, as well as other police personnel. The event aimed to enhance awareness of personal health care and wellness among members of the Taipei City Police Department.

In addition to delivering a special lecture on health maintenance and sharing practical wellness tips, Dr. Wen provided on-site health consultations and interactive medical guidance. In particular, officers who had sustained serious line-of-duty injuries were personally examined by Dr. Wen, who provided pulse assessment, medical consultations, and guidance on key areas for subsequent rehabilitation. Participants expressed that they had benefited greatly from the experience.

The injured officers were especially touched by Commissioner Chen’s continued concern for their health and well-being following their injuries. Other attendees also gained valuable insights, and the event was marked by enthusiastic participation and lively interaction.

Commissioner Chen concluded the event by reminding all personnel to pay greater attention to their personal health and well-being. His thoughtful and heartfelt concern left a lasting impression on the officers in attendance.
